Breast Cancer Advocate on 50 State Tour Donates to Mass General Cancer Center at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital

DOVER, NH – A breast cancer advocate, who is traveling to all 50 states donating money to cancer centers, made a stop at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital on Tuesday.

Agnes Judge made a $1,000 donation to the Mass General Cancer, her 30th donation in a journey that began in May of 2023. Judge, whose nickname is ‘Angel’, has spent decades managing supply chain logistics for the U.S. Army. Now semi-retired, she says she has a new mission.

“I just Google best cancer center in each state and I ended up reading about the Seacoast,” said Judge, a native of Charleston, South Carolina.  “I was looking for the wellness program - that plays a major role in a cancer’s patient’s mental and physical health – and they have a very extensive wellness program for mind, body, and soul.”

Judge, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2019 at age 47, says she was in a “dark place” following a double mastectomy. “I say depression, but it was darker than that,” she said. Judge says she recovered after feeling a calling to become a breast cancer advocate, kicking off her personal philanthropic campaign. She also models for various cancer marketing campaigns, inspiring other survivors to remain positive about their bodies.

“I don’t want other survivors to have to go through what happened to me mentally,” she said.

Judge’s donation will help fund the cancer center’s support and wellness initiatives, which include nutritional support, social work, integrative therapies like massage and acupuncture, and financial considerations for items like gas cards and wigs.

“I just want all cancer patients to know that cancer is a diagnosis – not a death sentence.”
