Wentworth-Douglass Hospital has opened expanded orthopedic, sports medicine and rehabilitation services at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Portsmouth Outpatient Center. The center features fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons specializing in general orthopedics, sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacements, spine care, and hand and knee surgery collaborating with experienced rheumatologists and physical and occupational therapists. The providers will offer enhanced access to expert surgical and nonsurgical musculoskeletal care at the new Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital orthopedic providers Dr. Mark Cullen, Dr. Joseph Konopka, Dr. Peter Dirksmeier, and Dr. Adam Fleit of Seacoast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, and Dr. Robert Harrington of the Center for Orthopedics & Joint Replacement, now see patients in Portsmouth, along with rheumatologist Dr. Samir Bhangle.
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s Rehabilitation Services has also expanded to a fifth location, offering physical and occupational therapy in Portsmouth, as well as in Dover, Lee, Durham and Somersworth.

The Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is in the newly opened Portsmouth Outpatient Center - Building A, 67 Corporate Drive. Other service available at the growing Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Portsmouth Outpatient Center include a breast health center, comprehensive lab and imaging center, a cancer center, primary care, walk-in care, and numerous specialty clinics, such as cardiology, general surgery, plastic surgery, neurology and more.
