Dr. Michael Mazzini, Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist, Joins Wentworth-Douglass

Michael Mazzini, MD, board-certified cardiologist and electrophysiologist, has joined Wentworth-Douglass Hospital as medical director of the Wentworth-Douglass Center for Heart Health, offering advanced and comprehensive cardiac care for Seacoast area residents.

Dr. Mazzini is also on staff at the Massachusetts General Hospital Corrigan Minehan Heart Center where he works with the Cardiology Division and Cardiac Arrhythmia Service teams. Dr. Mazzini will help to enhance the collaboration of cardiovascular services across the Wentworth-Douglass and Mass General care continuum.

Prior to joining Mass General and Wentworth-Douglass, Dr. Mazzini worked as director of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Service, co-director of the Cardiovascular Service Line, and director of the Anti-Coagulation Management Services, at MelroseWakefield Healthcare (formerly Hallmark Health) in Massachusetts.

Dr. Mazzini earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2002. His clinical training includes an internship and residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He continued his training in general cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at Boston Medical Center and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Whitaker Cardiovascular Institute at Boston University Medical Center. Previously, Dr. Mazzini served as assistant professor of medicine at Boston University School of Medicine and at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.

The Wentworth-Douglass Center for Heart Health offers comprehensive cardiology services to help keep hearts healthy. Its board-certified cardiologists and highly-skilled nurses, physician assistants, technicians and other clinical staff work together to provide leading treatments and preventive care for heart patients dealing with high blood pressure, valve disease, heart failure, and other forms of heart disease.
