Temporary Visitor Restrictions

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital (main campus only) is temporarily restricting visitation to protect patients, staff and other visitors from the spread of influenza (flu).

All visitors must be at least 12 years old with the exception of siblings visiting infants in the Women & Children’s Center (see below). Adult patients who are scheduled for outpatient tests, treatments, or procedures are strongly discouraged from bringing children under 12 years of age into the facility.

Please do not visit if you have symptoms of influenza, including fever (over 100 degrees), cough, and sore throat.

Special Notes:

Seacoast Cancer Center, Critical Care Unit, and Women and Children’s Center visitors shall be screened for active or recent symptoms of respiratory infection before visiting.

Women & Children’s Center visitation is limited to the parents, significant other of the mother, siblings and grandparents of the newborn.

Exceptions for special circumstances will be made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the healthcare provider. If visitation is deemed necessary, there may be requirements to follow.
