The Nursing Research Fellowship Program - Clinical nurses are co-investigators for research studies.

Annual Clinical Excellence Poster Presentation Event co-hosted by the Professional Development and Education Council - An opportunity for our staff to showcase evidence-based practice, performance improvement and research.

Wentworth-Douglass Nurse Researchers - Mentor colleagues in RN-to-BSN, MSN and DNP programs to complete capstone clinical inquiry projects.

Wentworth-Douglass Health Coach/Survivorship Study
 
The purpose of this study is to initiate and evaluate health coach services for cancer survivors, delivered in an eight- to 12- week coaching intervention. Provided at no cost, these services are intended to supplement traditional support currently offered by Wentworth-Douglass.   

Our target population is Seacoast Cancer Center patients, who are nearly finished, or have recently completed, treatment for cancer - an ideal time for advocating and promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors. We are using the Patient Activation Measure (PAM® Survey) and Quality of Life Index© to evaluate outcomes.
 
Qualitative Description of the Clinical Staff Members’ Experience at a Community Hospital During the COVID-19 Pandemic
 
The purpose of this study is to describe and understand the experience of our clinical staff members to develop a comprehensive description of the experience and identify opportunities for organizational support that will foster their well-being. Ultimately, a healthier work environment supports high quality care of our patients and families.  

We are interviewing clinical staff who have cared for patients with COVID-19. The primary investigators include two staff nurses who were selected to participate in our first Wentworth-Douglass Nurse Research Fellowship.
