Wentworth-Douglass Charity Classic

The 24th annual Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Charity Classic, presented by Tufts Health Freedom Plan, raised more than $145,000. The sold-out golf tournament, held at the Cochecho Country Club in Dover on June 25, supports comprehensive services for women and families at the Wentworth-Douglass Women & Children’s Center.

There was a three-way tie for first place with the tiebreaker – and coveted green jackets – going to the foursome of Michael Curran, Jon Luchette, Jeff Pollock and Keith St. Cyr. The second place team was Chad Kageleiry, Larry Raiche, Eric Raiche and John Sullivan. The third place team was Daren Dulac, Andy Cyr, Ryan O’Quinn and Kirk O’Quinn.

Since its inauguration in 1994, the Wentworth-Douglass Golf Tournament has raised more than $2 million to support valuable care and services available to families on the Seacoast, including the Newborn Healthy Start Program, Safe Sleep Certification for families, Hannaford Special Care Nursery, Care Seat Safety Program, therapeutic programs, pediatric services, and more.

Special thanks to the presenting sponsor Tufts Health Freedom Plan and the many other sponsors that helped to make the day a success.

Your Impact

Your participation in the Charity Classic is making a difference in the lives of families in our community by allowing us to improve patient care and services.

Newborn Healthy Start Program - Wentworth-Douglass provides families with basic necessities for feeding and equipment for safe sleeping before they go home.

Safe Sleep Certification - The Women and Children’s Center is now a Safe Sleep Certified Center with a program to provide safe sleep tools and education to each family that delivers!

Hannaford Special Care Level II Nursery - Here, our expert team offers specialized care for babies born with neonatal abstinence syndrome and those with other more advanced needs.

Car Seat Safety Program - Almost 50% of car seats are installed incorrectly. Through this program, certified instructors ensure that patients have a properly installed car seat before leaving the hospital.

Thank you to our 2018 Sponsors!
