The Works Makes a Splash Benefitting the Water Works Swim Program!

Kellie Feroe Couch and Rebecca McCole of The Works Family Health and Fitness Center rallied members for the 6th annual Worldwide Aquathon Day in November to raise awareness of aquatic fitness and to rally support for the Water Works Swim Program at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.

To coincide with the World Aquathon Day, Kellie and Rebecca organized a three-hour aqua aerobics marathon with participants pledging donations to the Water Works Program. Water Works is a therapeutic swim program for children with disabilities or who are recovering from injuries. Swimming and being in the water can be extremely calming and therapeutic for children, even offering some distraction and relief from pain.

Wentworth-Douglass feels incredibly honored to be involved in this worldwide initiative and is appreciative of the generous and heart-felt donation.
