If you’ve been unable to get pregnant after regular unprotected sex, you’re not alone. In fact, one in six healthy couples of reproductive age is affected by fertility issues. 

Typically infertility is diagnosed after a couple is unable to get pregnant after one year of unprotected intercourse. However, each situation is unique. Women who have irregular menstrual cycles or are over the age of 35 are encouraged to talk with a provider about seeking infertility treatment.

While your OB/GYN may perform an initial infertility evaluation, often it’s best to consult with a specialist.

We use a variety of onsite specialized testing tools to help us identify the cause of your infertility, including hysterosalpingograms (HSG). An HSG is used to detect whether your fallopian tubes are opened or closed and if the shape of the uterine cavity is normal or abnormal.

Garrison Women’s Health is the only practice that performs ultrasound-guided HSGs right in our office. We also offer HSGs at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.

When treatment is indicated, we specialize in:

• Ovulation induction with the use of oral and injectable medications
