About Our President & COO

Darin Roark, BSN, MBA, RN FACHE

Darin Roark became the 12th permanent lead administrator in the nearly 120-year history of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital when he was named President & Chief Operating Officer in July 2023.

Darin has more than 20 years of health care experience including serving in a dual role as Hospital President of Baptist Medical Center Clay and System Vice President, Ambulatory Campuses & Emergency Services for Baptist Health, a non-profit health system headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida with six hospitals including a children’s hospital, three free-standing emergency departments, more than 200 care locations and 14,000 employees.

Darin also previously served as Vice President of Baptist’s Oncology Service Line and Administrator of the Emergency Service Line. He is a proven health care leader who understands the importance of providing the best health care to the community driven by quality and patient safety.

While he looks forward to immersing himself in the greater Seacoast community, Darin was actively engaged in civic duties through the Clay County Utility Authority Board of Supervisors as Vice Chairman and Member and Past Board Chair of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce.

Darin holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northern Illinois University; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Wisconsin; and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing from North Central College. He also serves as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
