Wentworth-Douglass Support Groups 

These groups, presented by hospital staff, meet regularly at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Please contact the person listed for further information. 

Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Support 

"Weigh of Life" Support Group

Second Monday of every month, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., virtually on Zoom. This group provides education and support before and after surgery. Groups are moderated by a dietitian. For more information, call the bariatric surgery office at (603) 610-8094.

Cancer Support

Cancer Caregiver Support Group

Are you caring for someone who has cancer?  Consider joining our virtual monthly support group. Second Tuesday of every month, 5:00 - 6:00 pm. For more information, please contact Social Work at (603) 740-2830. Next session starts Tuesday, November 8. 

Mind. Body. Mend. 

For women 40 years of age or younger with any cancer diagnosis before, during, or after treatment. Presented by Social Work Services in partnership with Exeter Hospital, this group will facilitate journaling, yoga, and discussions on relationships, intimacy, and nutrition. Meets in the spring and fall each year.

Parent Groups

New Parents Support Group

Come and meet other new parents and discuss topics of concern to you. These groups are led by lactation consultants and child life specialists. The group meets virtually every other Wednesday from 2:30 - 2:30 p.m. Visit Childbirth Education for more information. 

Finding Yourself In Motherhood

Becoming a mother, again or for the first time, can be joyful and challenging. If you're not feeling quite yourself or it's not what you expected, you're not alone. Many women feel overwhelmed, isolated or scared at times.

Talking with other moms who are experiencing the same feelings can help. Join us for our free mothers support group where you can be real, valued and understood. If you are interested in attending this group please call Marisa at (603) 740-2431

Seacoast Parents Coping With Perinatal Loss

For families facing miscarriage, fatal fetal diagnosis, stillbirth or neonatal death. Unconditional support for loss at any gestation. Meetings encourage peer support through discussion and group activities.  Group meets first Thursday of the month from 6-7:30 pm. (except for October). Virtual Bereavement Support Group

Second Wednesday of every month from 5:30 - 7:00 pm

Pain, Neurological and Stroke Support

Chronic Pain Support Group - Virtual

Do you live with chronic pain? Would you like to get and give support to others like you? Consider joining our  virtual support group led by Holly Roche, of Wentworth-Douglass Integrative Therapies.

POTS (Positional Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)

Stroke Support Group - Virtual
Third Thursday of every month, 2:00 p.m.
Interact with other stroke survivors in an encouraging environment. Topics may include coping skills, education and presentations from experts. Friends and family welcome.
