These groups, presented by hospital staff, meet regularly at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Please contact the person listed for further information. 

Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Support 

Educational Support
Second Monday of every month, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. 
This group provides education and support before and after surgery. Groups are moderated by a dietitian. Patients, family, and friends who will be supporting you after surgery are welcome to attend. Please do not bring children.

Staying Connected
Fourth Monday of every month, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. 
This group provides ongoing support after surgery. Groups are moderated by Dr. Wagner. Attendance is encouraged but not required after surgery.

Cancer Support

Breast Cancer Survivor Support 
This peer-led group provides open discussion and support to any woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. 
Second Thursday of every month, 5:30 - 7:00 pm, WDH Garrison Auditoriums - Dionne Room. Breast Cancer Survivor Support Group is on hold due to COVID-19.

Cancer Caregiver Support Group
Are you caring for someone who has cancer?  Consider joining our virtual monthly support group. Second Tuesday of every month, 5:00 - 6:00 pm.

Gynecologic Cancer Support 
This peer-led group provides open discussion and support to any woman who has been diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer.  
First Wednesday of every month, 5:30 - 7:00 pm, WDH Patient and Family Learning Center across from the Garrison Wing elevators. The Gynecologic Cancer Support Group is on hold due to COVID-19.

Mind. Body. Mend. - Next session starting soon.
For women 40 years of age or younger with any cancer diagnosis before, during, or after treatment. 
Presented by Social Work Services in partnership with Exeter Hospital, this group will facilitate journaling and yoga, and discussions on relationships, intimacy and nutrition.

Women & Children's Center  Support Groups

New Parents Support Group - Now Virtual
Come and meet other new parents and discuss topics of concern to you. These groups are led by lactation consultants and child life specialists. The group meets virtually every other Wednesday from 2:30 - 2:30 p.m. Visit Childbirth Education for more information. 

Finding Yourself In Motherhood
Becoming a mother can be joyful and challenging. If you're not feeling quite yourself or it's not what you expected, you're not alone. Many women feel overwhelmed. Talking with other moms who are experiencing the same feelings can help. This group meets weekly on Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. Babies are welcome and child care is available if needed. Registration is encouraged and is required if you need childcare. Visit Childbirth Education or call (603) 609-6964

Seacoast Parents Coping With Perinatal Loss
For families facing miscarriage, fatal fetal diagnosis, stillbirth or neonatal death. Unconditional support for loss at any gestation. Meetings encourage peer support through discussion and group activities.  Group meets first Thursday of the month from 6-7:30 pm. (except for October). Chronic Pain Support Group *NOW VIRTUAL*

Do you live with chronic pain? Would you like to get and give support to others like you? Consider joining our  virtual support group led by Holly Roche, of Wentworth-Douglass Integrative Therapies. 

Sessions will be the second Tuesday of every other month from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. (January 12, February 9, March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9, December 14).

The Chronic Pain Support Group is hosted virtually through a healthcare secure version of Zoom. To register, please email Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's Patient & Family Learning Center at pflc@wdhospital.org or call (603) 609-6027.
