Our board-certified surgeons specialize in advanced hand, shoulder, knee, spine, ankle and foot surgical care. We specialize in joint replacements, surgery to repair and reconstruct tendons, and surgery to treat fractures or dislocations, arthritis, degenerative conditions of the neck and spine, and more.
Wentworth-Douglass is a regional leader in surgical care, including advanced arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgical options—which result in small to no scars, a quicker recovery, decreased pain, fewer complications, and a shorter time away from home.
Surgical specialties include:
Our multidisciplinary Spine Center leads the way with a highly skilled team that develops a treatment plan that’s right for you. You can trust our advanced training, sophisticated technology, and highly qualified surgeon.
Count on our renowned Joint Replacement Center with its team of exceptional surgeons, nurses and therapists dedicated to caring for you when you have a knee, hip or shoulder replacement.
Cartilage injuries and the breakdown of cartilage over time are some of the most common orthopedic issues affecting the knee. Our Cartilage Restoration Center includes certified specialists offering a full range of state-of-the-art treatment options for knee cartilage injuries—including minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures, osteochondral autografts, autologous cartilage cell implantation and others. In some cases, not only will these procedures resolve pain and restore function, they may also delay the progression of arthritis.
One of the newest advances in cartilage restoration we offer is Matrix Associated Chondrocyte Implantation (MACI), which uses the patient’s own cartilage cells to create a MACI scaffold that is glued into the cartilage defect. This technique creates smaller incisions that significantly reduce operating time and makes for an easier recovery.
