We are proud to be the official Team Physicians of the University of New Hampshire Wildcats!
Whether it’s in the Exam Room, the Operating Room, or on the sidelines, our specialized sports medicine providers are dedicated to getting you back in the game. Whether you are school-age athlete or a mature weekend warrior, our experienced providers – who are athletes themselves – understand the unique complexities of sports injuries.
Our multidisciplinary team includes sports medicine specialists, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and pain specialists, will develop a personalized plan to help you achieve your goals. We have board-certified physicians specializing in ankle, foot, knee, hip, back, shoulder, and wrist/hand injuries, as well as a program geared specifically to women and girls.
Our multidisciplinary concussion recovery team uses the latest medical assessments and interventions to get you safely back to sport, school, work, and play.
Our doctors serve as the team physicians for many teams, including local high schools, club teams, and the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. They work in collaboration with coaches, athletic trainers, physical, occupational and speech therapists and families to ensure a safe recovery for young athletes.
Common sports-related treatments we provide include:
We use the latest advances in orthopedic care to help you heal faster. Using the patient’s own blood, these injections of your own growth factors are a less-invasive means to treat some sports injuries of the ligaments, tendons muscles and joints, as well as arthritic joints.
Research has shown that women and girls may be more susceptible to certain sports-related injuries, such as those in the hips, knees, and shoulders. As female athletes of all ages excel in their sports more than ever, we are also expanding our services to include a program dedicated to women’s sports medicine. The Women’s Sports Medicine Program will provide focused sports medicine care for women of all ages and abilties, including high school and college athletes, cyclists, runners, triathletes and “weekend warriors.” Our provider will also be a Team Physician for the University of New Hampshire Wildcats and local high school and club teams.
Our women's sports medicine provider is experienced in caring for athletes on the sideline, concussion management, joint injections, ultrasound guided injections, platelet-rich plasma injections, casting/splinting, nutrition guidance, as well as general musculoskeletal injuries.
Dr. Hopp will also see patients through the Center for Women's Health & Wellness in Portsmouth, a unique practice that brings together women-focused primary care and specialists in one location to offer women a truly integrated healthcare experience.
