Get a Flu Vaccine

The 2020-2021 flu season has arrived. It’s more important than ever to take steps to prevent flu. Getting a flu vaccine is the #1 way to protect yourself and others from getting or spreading the flu. As recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), we strongly encourage everyone to get a flu vaccine, especially those who are at a higher risk for getting severe illness and complications from the flu, including people with chronic medical conditions, pregnant women, children over 6 months old, and adults over 65 years old.

Community Flu Shot Clinics

Beginning October 5 for one week, Wentworth-Douglass will be offering flu shots to all community members by appointment in Dover, Lee and Portsmouth. We request that you make an appointment for this service to allow for appropriate social distancing and infection prevention protocols – your safety is our utmost concern.

If you have health insurance, your insurance will be charged for the vaccine. The flu vaccine is covered by most health insurance plans.

If you do not have health insurance, please call our Price Estimate Line at (603) 740-2205 for more information.

Important information about COVID-19

As part of the hospital's safe care commitment, all patients are screened for possible symptoms of COVID-19 and given a mask to wear. We ask that you only attend our flu shot clinics if you are healthy and well. If you have upper respiratory symptoms including fever, sore throat, or cough, please postpone your visit.

The flu shot does not protect against COVID-19.
