Ostomy Care Clinic
Our Registered Nurses in the Ostomy Care Clinic specialize in ostomy care and are members of the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse Association (WOCN). They evaluate and treat individuals with a colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy or ileal conduit, gastrostomy, and/or tracheostomy. Sue Gonet founded the clinic and has over 15 years of experience as an ostomy nurse. Three exceptional nurses recently joined as well. They are featured lower in the page. All of our nurses have expertise in stoma markings, ostomy complications, supplies, and more.

- Self-care instruction
- Peristomal skin breakdown evaluation
- Stoma complications (recessed, concaved, flat, etc.)
- Appliance/pouching evaluation
- Supply ordering support
Referrals and Insurance
You may self-refer, or your primary care provider or surgeon may refer you to the Ostomy Care Clinic. Many insurance companies will provide coverage for your treatment at the Wound Healing Institute. Check with your insurance company to verify this coverage. You may still receive the service if you insurance does not cover the service for an out-of-pocket fee.

Located within the Wound Healing Institute on the bottom floor of the South Entrance of the Hospital.

Sue Gonet founded the clinic and has over 15 years of experience as an ostomy nurse.
