Regain function and recover from your workplace injuries as safely and quickly as possible.
Our certified physical and occupational therapists collaborate with you, your providers, your employer and any others who are part of your team to ensure you are fit to return to work.
What We Do
Our comprehensive, specialized, professional Industrial Rehab program team:
- Thoroughly evaluates your injury and addresses any physical limitations before conducting a job site analysis and creating a customized treatment plan based on job demands and work requirements.
- Designs functional tasks closely resembling the specific physical demands of your work, addressing proper posture, body mechanics and ergonomics - all within a safe, structured and challenging environment.
- May refer you to our Center for Athlete’s Fit For Work Program. Functional training to help you improve your strength and overall function.
- Partners with clinical and administrative coordinators to manage your case, monitor your progress and help you transition safely back to work.
- Collaborates with referring medical providers, your employer, insurance adjuster and nurse case manager, to ensure timely communication of your status and progress throughout your treatment to prepare you for a safe return to a productive environment.
Fit For Work
Looking to improve your fitness to enhance your work performance or better recover from a work injury?
Get one-on-one strength and conditioning coaching specifically designed to help ensure a safe return to your physically demanding job.
Training sessions include job-specific task training, as well as total body strength training and overall fitness conditioning. At Fit for Work you’ll train two to three times a week for one to two months.
If you’ve been part of our Industrial Rehab Program, talk with your physical therapist about a referral to Fit for Work. Services are typically covered by Workers’ Compensation insurance.
Functional Capacity Assessment
If your ability to return to the same job is unclear, our trained Assessment Specialists can administer a safe, unbiased Functional Capacity Assessment to guide your medical team and employer in placing you in a more appropriate job. Currently offered only in Dover.
Our team collects confidential data on all of our injured workers. Using this pool of data, we create baseline statistics and calculate patient outcomes to compare to national benchmarks.
