How long have you worked here?

  • I have been working here for 17 years.

Please describe your typical day and responsibilities:

  • The Mass General Cancer Center at Wentworth-Douglass is a very busy outpatient clinic. As an LNA, I work closely with the resource nurse as well as the nursing staff to keep a smooth and effective patient flow in the infusion rooms. My typical day and responsibilities include rooming patients who are coming for their treatments (checking vitals, performing EKG, or checking blood sugar, etc.), ordering clinical supplies, stocking the bays, answering the phone, and transporting our patients from our floor to another floor for various tests.

Why did you choose to come to Wentworth-Douglass?

  • I have always had the passion to make a difference in someone’s live or the community I live in, so choosing to come Wentworth-Douglass was the right organization for me in which by its mission, and vision for the community I could contribute to the community I live in and be able to fulfill my passion.

What do you enjoy most about working here?

  • Working with a great team of amazing experienced, smart, hardworking with compassion, and fun people who are continually driven to provide excellent patient care to our patients. I always feel like the people I work with are my family.

How would you describe your work experience at Wentworth-Douglass?

  • Inspiring! Great hospital to work for that offers professional growth opportunities.

What do you say to someone who is considering applying to work here?

  • Not to hesitate to apply. Wentworth-Douglass is one of the best hospitals to work for!

What is your favorite part of your job?

  • Seeing that the fear, and the anxiety on our patient’s faces faded at the end of their first day of treatment not because the cancer is gone/cured, but because of the warm welcoming, compassion, and of the care of an amazing team/staff of the cancer center ensures them that they are not alone on the unknown/scariest journey of fighting the cancer.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

  • A teacher or social worker If you would have a meal with three famous people (living or dead), who would they be? Jesus Christ, Denzel Washington, Bill Gram

What would your perfect day be like?

  • My perfect day would be like waking up and hearing that the whole world is filled with peace, no hatred, but people loving and caring for each other regardless their backgrounds (race, faith, social/political status).

What qualities do you admire most in a person?

  • Integrity, honesty, excellence, humbleness, and reliability.

Who is your hero?

  • My father is my hero. My father was a very noble man, who made a great influence on me, and on my siblings as well whoever met him. He taught us how to live life as human beings with nobility, and kindness.

What is one thing you wish others knew about you?

  • Gratitude has been my daily attitude.
