Wentworth-Douglass Hospital offers TeleHealth Visits
What is “TeleHealth?”
Telehealth (virtual medicine) provides patients and consulting providers virtual options to deliver care at a distance. Through TeleHealth, Wentworth-Douglass can provide more personal, affordable, and efficient ways of giving care that showcase the expertise and creativity of our providers while simultaneously giving patients more flexibility. Virtual visits are video or phone appointments with your health care provider from the comfort of home, convenience of work or another private location.
TeleHealth offers the perfect opportunity for the following appointments:
-Simple one condition or overdue follow-up
-Overdue chronic condition management
-Results review
-Medication management
-Lifestyle modification
An example of a TeleHealth video visit is shown above. Your physician will speak with you through a secure version of Zoom or via telephone.
Depending on your insurance coverage, you will be charged your usual co-pay/deductible. For more information we suggest you contact your insurance company.
Virtual visits are private and confidential; however, it is important that you are in a private secure area during your visit.
If you are interested in a TeleHealth visit, please let your provider’s office know while scheduling your next appointment.
