Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s nationally-accredited, state-of-the-art, Center for Weight Management & Bariatric Surgery has moved to the hospital’s Professional Center in Dover. The Center for Weight Management is the only fully robotic bariatric surgery center in New Hampshire and beyond. The new location will enhance patient care and allow the center to collaborate with complementary services including plastic surgery, endocrinology, and diabetes services.
“Being physically housed with our colleagues in endocrinology and plastic surgery will improve the patient care continuum and make it easier for our teams to work closely together, while continuing to provide our patients with the best possible care and lifechanging outcomes,” said Dr. Dmytro Havaleshko, medical director of the Wentworth-Douglass Center for Weight Management & Bariatric Surgery.
At this new comprehensive center, patients will meet with members of a unique multidisciplinary team that includes general and bariatric surgeons: Dr. Dmytro Havaleshko, FACS, FASMBS; Dr. Cynthia Paciulli, FACS, FASMBS; and Dr. Hany Takla, FACS, FASMBS. Throughout their weight management journey, patients will experience a welcoming and caring environment comprised of highly skilled surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified bariatric nurses, a bariatric coordinator, nurse navigator, metabolic & bariatric clinical reviewer, dietitians, medical assistants, and more.
To make this continuum of care possible, Wentworth-Douglass Center for Weight Management & Bariatric Surgery has moved from the main hospital (789 Central Avenue in Dover) to 10 Members Way, Suite 302 in the same building as Wentworth Health Partners Plastic Surgery Specialists and Wentworth Health Partners Diabetes & Endocrinology Services.
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital opened its Center for Weight Management & Bariatric Surgery in 2018, officially competing its first surgery on May 22, 2018. Since that time the Center for Weight Management & Bariatric Surgery has completed over 700 surgeries and helped patients lose more than 45,000 pounds to date.
