Mass General Electrophysiology Studies now available at WDH

DOVER, NH – Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s comprehensive Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology program was recently evaluated by renowned Massachusetts General Hospital Electrophysiologist Conor Barrett, MD, and now offers enhanced cardiac care services provided by Mass General physicians, Chee Yuan Ng, MD, and Stephan Danik, MD.

Considered the “electricians” of the heart, electrophysiologists (EPs) diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders caused by abnormalities in the heart’s electrical activity.

Dr. Danik and Dr. Ng will offer extensive non-invasive and invasive treatments right here in Dover for cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats) related to cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease, heart failure or hereditary conditions.

Cardiac electrophysiology is the latest clinical integration between Wentworth-Douglass and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. The two hospitals also have clinical affiliations for stroke, cancer genetics, gynecologic oncology, medical oncology, thoracic surgery, trauma and acute care surgery, and epilepsy services. Earlier this year, Wentworth-Douglass became the first hospital in New Hampshire to join Mass General with the goal to enhance and grow the quality care and services available for patients and their families in the community.

In addition to electrophysiology, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital offer’s comprehensive cardiac care services, including screenings and diagnostics, interventional cardiology and cardiac rehab, as well as two physician practices with locations in Dover and Portsmouth/Pease.
